CS expresses sorrow at passing of Mr Lau Wong-fat

"I am profoundly saddened by the passing of Mr Lau. I have known him since I served as the District Officer (North) in the mid-1980s and we had worked closely together over the past 30 years. Mr Lau had been actively assisting the Government in promoting the development of the New Territories. He also actively took part in charitable work. His contribution to Hong Kong will live on forever," Mr Cheung said.
"I extend my deepest condolences to Mr Lau's family."
