Outdoor art project, fun day, exhibition and competition among highlights of 20th anniversary celebrations (with photos)
***************************************************************

An outdoor art project and a family fun day will be held in the coming days as part of celebrations for the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR).

Season three of "City Dress Up: Blossoming Stairs", featuring 20 staircases in various districts adorned with autumn images, is now on display until September 30.

The outdoor art project "City Dress Up: Blossoming Stairs" was launched in March to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR and the 55th anniversary of the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Exterior stairways in various districts are being decorated seasonally through December with imagery sourced from the Museum of Art's collection. The selection spans a great variety of works, including traditional Chinese paintings, historical pictures from the 19th century, contemporary art pieces and antiquities involving textiles, lacquer ware and bamboo carving.

With displays of decorated staircases and educational activities being held in different districts, the general public can experience and enjoy the pleasure of art and nature in their daily life.
