Key statistics on service demand of A&E departments and occupancy rates of medical wards in public hospitals

As Hong Kong enters summer influenza season, the HA is closely monitoring the service demand of accident and emergency departments and the occupancy rate of medical wards in public hospitals. Key service statistics are being issued daily. Details are in the appended table.
Furthermore, to facilitate public understanding of public hospital service situation, the HA has set up a designated website (www.ha.org.hk/goto/servicesurge/en) to provide information on A&E waiting times, key statistics such as A&E attendance, medical ward occupancy rates and hyperlinks to private healthcare service providers.
