Civic Education Exhibition to be held at Hong Kong Book Fair

The following is issued on behalf of the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education:

     Members of the public are invited to visit the Civic Education Exhibition 2017 to be held at the Hong Kong Book Fair 2017 (Booth 3B-C36, Children's Paradise). The exhibition will run from tomorrow (July 19) to July 25 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

     The exhibition is jointly organised by the Home Affairs Bureau and the Committee on the Promotion of Civic Education (CPCE), with a focus on promoting the civic values of respect, inclusiveness, responsibility and love, with the theme "Foster People-to-People Bond, Create a Better Future and Cheer for Hong Kong", while also celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. It will also feature information on civic education as well as a wide range of materials and publications produced by the CPCE, the Education Bureau and the Independent Commission Against Corruption. Visitors are invited to take photos at the 3D photo corner, take part in interactive games and receive souvenirs at the booth.
 
     The organisers will hold a ceremony for the exhibition at 1pm on Friday (July 21) at the stage in the Children's Paradise. In addition to freestyle football and teens' K-Pop dance performances, singer Kayee Tam will also perform during the ceremony. In addition, the performers will share with participants their views on civic values such as respect and inclusiveness.
