Fatal traffic accident in Tai Po

At about 8am, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 48-year-old man was travelling along On Fu Road towards Po Yick Street. When reaching near Po Yick Street, it reportedly knocked down the 82-year-old man who was crossing the road.
Sustaining head injuries, the man was rushed to Prince of Wales Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 12.33pm.
Investigation will be conducted by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North.
