Hongkong Post today (July 14) announced the extension of the iPostal Station service to the General Post Office on July 17.

     Details are as follows:

     Members of the public can now enjoy a convenient and secure mail collection service at selected iPostal Stations or selected Post Offices. Users can register for a unique Mail Collection Number (MCN) and get the sub-code of the selected iPostal Station or collection office at the EC-Ship online portal (www.ec-ship.hk). Senders must then be informed to put the MCN and sub-code onto mail items. Upon the arrival of a mail item, the recipient will receive an SMS notification with a passcode to collect the item.
