"International Military Tattoo" Outdoor Carnival to be held this weekend

     The two-day "International Military Tattoo" Outdoor Carnival will be held from 2.30pm to 5.30pm on Saturday and Sunday (July 15 and 16) at the Piazza of the Hong Kong Cultural Centre. Admission is free.

     The programme's attractions will include game stalls and performances by visiting military bands and local disciplined services.

     Activities will include the shooting game "Adventure Challenge", the laser maze game "Secret Infrared Maze" and camouflage face painting. There will also be many photo opportunities, such as "3D Optical Illusions" and "Cheers with Dogs" featuring dogs units from the Hong Kong Police Force, the Correctional Services Department and the Customs and Excise Department.

     A variety of performances will be held at Piazza Area C on both days from 4pm to 5pm. These will include a flypast by the Government Flying Service, a fireboat water jet performance by the Fire Services Department, a parade of marching squads from local disciplined services, performances by overseas military bands, a bicycle performance by the Civil Aid Service Cadet Corps Bicycle Demonstration Team and a demonstration performance by dog units of disciplined services.

     The Outdoor Carnival is part of the "International Military Tattoo" presented by the Home Affairs Bureau, organised by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and sponsored by Bank of China (Hong Kong) as one of the events celebrating the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
