The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:

     The spokesperson for Kowloon Central Cluster (KCC) today (July 2) announced the temporary service relocation of Hung Hom Clinic (22 Station Lane, Hung Hom) to Shun Tak Fraternal Association Leung Kau Kui Clinic (2/F, To Kwa Wan Market and Government Offices) from July 8 (Saturday) due to renovation works of the clinic to improve the environment and service capacity. The service hours will remain unchanged (details are appended). The renovation is expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2018.

     According to the spokesperson, patients with chronic illnesses requiring regular follow-up at Hung Hom Clinic have already been informed and arranged to attend follow-up appointments at Shun Tak Fraternal Association Leung Kau Kui Clinic during the renovation period. As for patients with episodic illnesses, they can make appointments via the telephone appointment system as usual.

     Upon completion of the renovation, the service area of the clinic will be expanded from the existing ground floor to the first floor, i.e. two floors in total. The space for consultation will increase while there will also be enhancement of the infection control facilities and the space of the dressing room.

     Furthermore, KCC will also facilitate the construction work of the Department of Health and the relevant departments to provide barrier-free access in the building of the Clinic for patients, especially for the elderly and patients with disabilities, including the installation of a lift for the clinic. The related works of the lift installation are expected to be completed by the end of 2018.

     "KCC has already informed the residents in the district on the service arrangement through various channels, including poster notice, information leaflet and briefing to respective district councillors. Reminder messages will also be added to the Telephone Appointment System of the Hung Hom Clinic," the spokesperson added.
