Police will implement special traffic arrangements to facilitate two parades to be held on Hong Kong Island this Sunday (July 2).



     The following roads will be closed from 8am until the crowd is dispersed and traffic resumes normal:

- Shau Kei Wan Main Street East between Kam Wa Street and Tung Hei Road;
- Southbound Shau Kei Wan Main Street East between Kam Wa Street and Factory Street, except for trams;
- Tam Kung Temple Road;
- A Kung Ngam Village Road between Tung Hei Road and A Kung Ngam Road, except for franchised buses;
- Westbound Tung Hei Road between its eastern junction with A Kung Ngam Village Road and Mong Lung Street;
- Eastbound Tung Hei Road between Oi Lai Street and its eastern junction with A Kung Ngam Village Road;
- Eastbound Oi Lai Street between Oi Yin Street and Tung Hei Road;
- Wang Wa Street;
- Factory Street between Shau Kei Wan Main Street East and Wang Wa Street; and
- Kam Wa Street between Shau Kei Wan Main Street East and Wang Wa Street.



     The following roads will be intermittently closed from 10am until the crowd is dispersed and traffic resumes normal:

- Slow lane of westbound Siu Sai Wan Road between Siu Sai Wan Estate Bus Terminus and Chai Wan Road;
- Slow lane of westbound Chai wan Road between Siu Sai Wan Road and Chai Wan Road roundabout;
- Southbound Oi Tak Street;
- Eastbound Hing Man Street between Hoi An Street and Hoi Foo Street;
- Southbound Hoi Foo Street between Hing Man Street and Shau Kei Wan Road;
- Slow lane of eastbound Shau Kei Wan Road between Hoi Foo Street and Shau Kei Wan Main Street East; and
- Eastbound Shau Kei Wan Main Street East between Aldrich Street and Factory Street.

     The following special traffic arrangements will be implemented from 8am until the crowd is dispersed and traffic resumes normal:

Traffic diversions

- Traffic along eastbound Tung Hei Road heading for A Kung Ngam and Chai Wan will be diverted via Mong Lung Street, Factory Street, Aldrich Street and Chai Wan Road; and
- Traffic along westbound Island Eastern Corridor heading for A Kung Ngam will be diverted via Nam On Lane, Shau Kei Wan Road, Chai Wan Road and A Kung Ngam Road.

Suspension of parking spaces

- Metered parking spaces at Wang Wa Street;
- All metered parking spaces, motorcycle parking spaces and disable parking spaces at Kam Wa Street between Shau Kei Wan Main Street East and Wang Wa Street.

     During the road closure period, vehicles will not be allowed to enter or leave car parks on the closed roads.

     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
