Government statement on Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill 2017

The Government just received notice from the Legislative Council (LegCo) Secretariat that LegCo Member Mr Andrew Wan has withdrawn the proposed Committee stage amendments to the Road Traffic (Amendment) Bill 2017 (the Bill). The Government will proceed with its original plan to resume the Second Reading debate of the Bill on June 28 to increase the maximum passenger seating capacity of light buses from 16 to 19 seats.
