Chief Executive-elect extends gratitude for President Xi's visit to Hong Kong
     President Xi Jinping will visit Hong Kong from June 29 to July 1 to attend activities in celebration of the 20th anniversary of the return of Hong Kong to the Motherland and the inauguration ceremony of the Fifth Term of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) Government. The Chief Executive-elect, Mrs Carrie Lam, today (June 25) extends her welcome and deepest gratitude for the President's visit. 

     Mrs Lam said, "Our country has strongly supported Hong Kong's economic and other areas of development since Hong Kong's return to the Motherland in 1997, ensuring the prosperity and stability of the HKSAR. We are delighted by the President's visit at this historical moment of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of the HKSAR. I wish to express my heartfelt gratitude to President Xi for his support for and affirmation of Hong Kong."
