Tropical Storm Merbok situation report (3)
     The Hong Kong Observatory replaced the No. 8 Northwest Gale or Storm Signal by the No. 8 Southwest Gale or Storm Signal at 00.10am today (June 13). 

     The Home Affairs Department has so far opened 22 temporary shelters in various districts and 207 people have sought refuge at the shelters. The 1823 Government Call Centre has so far received 17 reports of fallen tree.

     According to the Hospital Authority, as at 11.30pm yesterday (June 12), a total of eight persons, including three males and five females, aged between 43 and 71, have sought medical treatment at public hospitals during the typhoon period.

     On air traffic, the Airport Authority Hong Kong reported that a total of 41 flights have been cancelled and 322 flights delayed as at 9pm yesterday.

     The Drainage Services Department has not received any report of flooding so far. No report of landslide has been received.
