SCS visits Kowloon City District (with photos)

     The Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr Clement Cheung, today (June 9) visited Kowloon City District to get an update on developments in the district and to meet with Kowloon City District Council members.

      Accompanied by the District Officer (Kowloon City), Mr Franco Kwok, Mr Cheung first visited the Integrated Rehabilitation Service Centre of the SAHK LOHAS Garden, which provides day training, including packaging and handicrafts training, as well as residential services, for people with disabilities. Mr Cheung then viewed the crops cultivated by trainees at the Jockey Club Garden and experiences the catering services in the Centre's café.

     Mr Cheung later visited Munsang College, the first aided secondary school in Kowloon City District, which was founded in 1926. Mr Cheung talked to the students to better understand their school life, and toured the school's archive room to appreciate the school's collection of photos and students' works.

     Before concluding his visit, Mr Cheung met with the Chairman of the Kowloon City District Council, Mr Pun Kwok-wah, and other District Council members to learn about the overall development of the district and to exchange views on various district issues.
