Fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City in the small hours of today (May 20) in which a 60-year-old man died.

     At about 4.09am, a taxi was traveling along Prince Edward Road West westbound. When reaching the junction of Prince Edward Road West and Kadoorie Avenue, the taxi reportedly knocked down the 60-year-old man who was pushing a cart. The taxi left the scene after the accident.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to Kwong Wah Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 4.37am.

     Active investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
