SFH on the consultancy study on way forward for live poultry trade in Hong Kong

     Following is the transcript of remarks made by the Secretary for Food and Health, Dr Ko Wing-man, after attending a public function today (April 3):

Reporter: What are the new measures recommended and under what conditions can live poultry trade be maintained?

Secretary for Food and Health: The consultant recommended that under certain preconditions, Hong Kong can consider maintaining its live poultry trade. Those conditions include improvement measures on infection control, for example, how to prevent human contact with live poultry at the retail level.
