CE to attend Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference

     The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, will visit Hainan on March 24 and 25 to attend the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2017. The theme of this year's conference is "Globalization & Free Trade: The Asian Perspectives".

     On March 24, Mr Leung will deliver a keynote speech at the discussion session entitled "Globalization & Free Trade: The Hong Kong Experiences and Perspective". The Financial Secretary, Mr Paul Chan, will join as one of the panellists. In the evening, Mr Leung will meet Hong Kong student volunteers at the annual conference and attend the opening ceremony of the annual conference on the following day. Mr Chan will also join the Chief Executive's programme at the conference.

     Mr Leung will leave for Hainan in the morning on March 24 and depart for Hong Kong in the afternoon on March 25. During Mr Leung's absence, the Chief Secretary for Administration, Mr Matthew Cheung Kin-chung, will be the Acting Chief Executive, while the Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr Gregory So, will be the Acting Financial Secretary during Mr Chan's absence.
