Attempted murder in Tsuen Wan

          Police are investigating an attempted murder case in Tsuen Wan this morning (March 21).

          At about 6.10am, Police received a report from a woman that her husband attempted suicide inside a unit at Yau Kom Tau Village.
      
          Police sped to the scene and found her 35-year-old husband, his six-year-old daughter and four-year-old son were lying on the bed in a bedroom, a bowl of burning charcoal was found nearby.  The man in semi-conscious state was rushed to Yan Chai Hospital. The two children were sent to Princess Margaret Hospital consciously. A 27-year-old domestic helper and the 2-year-old son of the man, who stayed in another room of the unit, were sent to Yan Chai Hospital consciously for medical treatment.
      
     Initial investigation revealed that the man had suspectedly burned charcoal in an attempt to kill himself and others in the unit. He was arrested for attempted murder and is being detained for further enquiries.

          Active investigation by the District Crime Squad of Tsuen Wan District is underway.
