Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected cocaine (with photo)

     Hong Kong Customs today (March 20) seized about 1 kilogram of suspected cocaine with an estimated market value of about $1 million at Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point.
      
     Customs officers today intercepted an incoming female passenger at Lok Ma Chau Spur Line Control Point and found the suspected cocaine in the rucksack she carried.
      
     The woman, aged 23 and claimed to be a financial consultant, was arrested. Investigation is ongoing.
      
     Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence. The maximum penalty upon conviction is a fine of $5 million and life imprisonment.
