Police will implement special traffic arrangements this Friday (March 17) to facilitate a public order event to be held on Hong Kong Island.

     The following roads will be intermittently closed from 9.30am, until the crowd is dispersed and traffic resumes normal:

- Lung Wo Road;
- Yiu Sing Street;
- Man Kwong Street;
- Tim Mei Avenue;
- Lung Wui Road; and
- The unnamed road outside Hong Kong Red Cross near Harcourt Road.

     All lay-bys along the above roads will be closed. On-street parking spaces at the open space outside General Post Office, westbound Lung Wo Road will be suspended, except for motorcycle parking spaces.

     Vehicles may not be permitted to leave the car parks along the closed roads during the road closure period.

     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
