Fatal fire in Fanling

     Two charred bodies have been found at a No. 1 alarm fire (vehicle fire) near Fanling Wai at Jockey Club Road, Fanling, today (March 14).

     The fire broke out at 12.11am today. A private vehicle was suspected to have been in a traffic accident before catching fire. Fire services personnel arrived at the scene three minutes after receiving a call, and used one fire fighting jet and mobilised one breathing apparatus team to fight the blaze. The fire was largely put out at 12.22am. The car was severely damaged.

     Two charred bodies were found in the car after the fire was put out. Another man who sustained burns was located at the scene and was taken to North District Hospital for treatment.

     Initial investigations by fire services personnel revealed no suspicious circumstances.
