Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Happy Valley yesterday (March 9) in which a 55-year-old man died.

     At about 9.54pm yesterday, when a taxi driven by the 55-year-old man was travelling along Ventris Road towards Broadwood Road, it reportedly collided with a stationary private car.

     The taxi driver collapsed inside the compartment and was rushed to Ruttonjee Hospital where he was certified dead at 10.25pm. The 39-year-old private car driver sustained minor injuries to his chest and was sent to Ruttonjee Hospital in conscious state.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island is underway.
