Judiciary's response to media enquiries
***************************************

The following is issued on behalf of the Judiciary:

In response to media enquiries regarding the photo-taking arrangements inside court premises, the spokesman for the Judiciary said today (March 8) that according to the established venue management house rules of the Judiciary, taking photographs is generally prohibited in courtrooms. As for other areas inside the court premises, photo-taking is not allowed unless authorised, for example, after admission ceremonies or media activities taking place in designated areas outside the entrances of court buildings/premises.

All along, signages are posted in court buildings, including courtrooms, courtroom entrances, court lobbies and registries, etc, so that all court users and members of the public are kept informed of the prohibition on taking photographs.
