Three validly nominated candidates for Chief Executive Election

A total of three nomination forms for the 2017 Chief Executive Election were ruled valid by the Returning Officer, Madam Justice Carlye Chu Fun-ling, at the close of the nomination period at 5pm today (March 1). The nomination period started on February 14.

The number of valid nominations from Election Committee members received by each of the validly nominated candidates is listed below:

     A notice of nominations, which carries the names of the validly nominated candidates and the names of the Election Committee members nominating each candidate, will be published in the Gazette on March 7.

     Polling will take place on March 26 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wan Chai. The first round of voting will begin at 9am and close at 11am.

     Information about the election is available on the election website ( www.elections.gov.hk ).
