Police work showcased at Education and Careers Expo (with photos)

During the expo, the Police will provide latest recruitment information to visitors, and officers from various units, such as Airport Security Unit, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau, Narcotics Bureau and Counter Terrorism Response Unit will introduce their duties, uniforms and equipment at different demonstration sessions. Demonstration sessions of Police units are as follows:
February 23 (Thursday):
10.30am to 2.30pm – Counter Terrorism Response Unit, Police Dog Unit
2.30pm to 7pm – Force Rope Access Cadre, Narcotics Bureau
February 24 (Friday):
10.30am to 2.30pm – Hong Kong Police College, Identification Bureau
2.30pm to 7pm – Emergency Unit, Traffic Branch, Police Dog Unit, Airport Security Unit
February 25 (Saturday):
10.30am to 2.30pm – Explosive Ordnance Disposal Bureau, Commercial Crime Bureau
2.30pm to 7pm – Marine Police, Police Dog Unit, Police Negotiation Cadre
February 26 (Sunday):
10.30am to 2.30pm – Airport Security Unit, Force Search Unit
2.30pm to 7pm – Counter Terrorism Response Unit, Quick Reaction Force, Police Dog Unit
Those who are interested in joining the Force may apply at the Police booth in person. They should bring along the proof of academic qualifications (original and duplicate). The applicants will undergo on-site initial screening, including height and weight measurements, eyesight test and verification of academic qualifications.
Members of the public are welcome to visit the Police booth at the expo held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 10.30am to 7pm from February 23 to 25, and from 10.30am to 6pm on February 26.
