Approved Kai Tak Outline Zoning Plan amended

     The Town Planning Board today (February 17) announced amendments to the approved Kai Tak Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).
      
     The amendments mainly cover the Kai Tak City Centre, the South Apron area, the runway area and the waterfront area in Cha Kwo Ling involving optimisation of the development potential of residential/commercial sites; rezoning of suitable sites for residential, commercial, government, institution or community and open space uses, and incorporation of the latest development proposals for Kai Tak Development. In addition, the alignment of the Shatin to Central Link authorised by the Chief Executive in Council (CE in Council) under the Railways Ordinance (Cap 519) on March 27, 2012 and the alignment of the Central Kowloon Route authorised by the CE in Council under the Roads (Works, Use and Compensation) Ordinance (Cap 370) on January 5, 2016 are shown on the Plan for information. Opportunity is also taken to amend the Notes and Explanatory Statement of the OZP to reflect the above amendments and to update the general information of various land use zonings.
      
     The draft Kai Tak OZP No. S/K22/5, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters of the Planning Department in North Point and Sha Tin, the Kowloon District Planning Office, the Kowloon City, Kwun Tong and Wong Tai Sin District Offices.

     Any person can make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Board on or before April 18. Representations made to the Board will be available for public inspection.
      
     Copies of the draft Kai Tak OZP are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the OZP can be viewed at the Town Planning Board's website (www.info.gov.hk/tpb).
