CE compliments Hong Kong team for outstanding achievements in Asian Track Cycling Championship
     The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, today (February 10) praised Hong Kong’s athletes for their outstanding results in winning a total of 11 medals at the 37th Asian Track Cycling Championship in India.
     Lee Wai-sze as well as Meng Zhaojuan and Pang Yao were awarded gold medals in the Women’s Elite Keirin and Madison respectively today. It is thrilling to see that Lee Wai-sze grabbed a total of three gold medals in the Championship.
     Mr Leung said, “Hong Kong’s athletes have demonstrated exceptional bravery and perseverance. Their unswerving determination and admirable tenacity set a good example for our young people.”
     He added that the outstanding performances of Hong Kong’s athletes truly reflect the vibrancy of the city. The Government will step up its efforts to promote sports in the community.
