LD to hold occupational health public talks

     The Labour Department (LD) will hold a public talk entitled "Occupational Health Series of Office Workers (I): Health Hints on the Use of Display Screen Equipment" on February 10 (Friday), which is designed for people who use computers for prolonged periods. To enhance their awareness of occupational health, the talk will introduce the Occupational Safety and Health (Display Screen Equipment) Regulation and elaborate on occupational health hazards associated with the prolonged use of display screen equipment and the preventive measures. Demonstration of workplace exercise will also be included.
 
     The talk will be held at 6.30pm in Activity Room 1, Hong Kong Central Library, 66 Causeway Road, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong. The LD's Occupational Hygienist and Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.

     The LD will hold another talk entitled "Prevention of Lower Limb Disorders" on February 13 (Monday). The talk will introduce symptoms of common lower limb disorders such as plantar fasciitis, varicose veins and osteoarthritis of the knee, their treatment and preventive measures. Demonstrations of workplace exercise will be included.

     The talk will be held at 3pm in Activity Room 1, Hong Kong Central Library. The LD's Occupational Health Nurse will give the talk.
