Appointment of Official Receiver (with photo)

Ms McKenna, Assistant Director (Legal) of the Lands Department, was selected for the post through in-service appointment. Commenting on her appointment, the Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr Clement Cheung, said, "Ms McKenna possesses profound professional knowledge and management experience. She will be able to lead the Official Receiver's Office to meet the challenges ahead."
On the retirement of Ms Wong, Mr Cheung said, "As the Official Receiver, Ms Wong has served with dedication and commitment, and has put in commendable efforts to enhance the efficiency and service quality of the department. I sincerely wish her a happy retirement."

Ms Teresa Wong Siu-wan

Aged 60, Ms Wong joined the Government as a Solicitor in October 1984 before being promoted to Senior Solicitor in August 1987, to Assistant Principal Solicitor in March 1993, to Deputy Principal Solicitor in June 2002 and to Principal Solicitor in August 2008. She has been the Official Receiver since June 2011.
Ms Phyllis McKenna

Aged 54, Ms McKenna joined the Government as a Solicitor in November 1988 before being promoted to Senior Solicitor in March 1992, to Assistant Principal Solicitor in September 2006 and to Deputy Principal Solicitor in October 2012. She has taken up the post of Assistant Director (Legal) of the Lands Department since November 2013.
