The following is issued on behalf of the Legislative Council Secretariat:

     The Legislative Council (LegCo) will hold a meeting on Wednesday (January 18) at 11am in the Chamber of the LegCo Complex. During the meeting, the Chief Executive will present the Policy Address.

     Meanwhile, Ms Claudia Mo will move a proposed resolution under section 34(2) of the Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance to repeal the Public Health (Animals and Birds) (Animal Traders) (Amendment) Regulation 2016 (Commencement) Notice laid on the table of the Council on November 30, 2016.

     Mr Jeremy Tam will move a proposed resolution under section 34(2) of the Interpretation and General Clauses Ordinance to amend the Public Health (Animals and Birds) (Animal Traders) (Amendment) Regulation 2016 (Commencement) Notice laid on the table of the Council on November 30, 2016.

     Mr Paul Tse will also move a proposed resolution under Article 75 of the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China to amend the Rules of Procedure of the LegCo of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region as set out in the Schedule.
