Tin Shui Wai Hospital to commence services in phases (with photos)

     New Territories West Cluster today (January 3) announced that Tin Shui Wai Hospital (TSWH) is scheduled to commence patient services in phases from next Monday (January 9) to meet the service demand of Tin Shui Wai residents.
 
     The Hospital Chief Executive of TSWH, Dr Deacons Yeung, said, "In the initial phase, ambulatory services including specialist out-patient clinics for medicine and geriatrics, orthopaedics and traumatology, as well as family medicine, will be provided while renal dialysis, allied health, diagnostic radiology, pharmacy and community nursing will also be put into operation at the same time. Ambulatory services will be provided from Monday to Friday from 9am to 5pm in the initial stage.
 
     "For Accident and Emergency (A&E) services, as more time is required to get ready and well prepared for the opening of A&E services to ensure the provision of safe and quality care for emergency patients with comprehensive support, the A&E Department of TSWH will commence its first phase of service on March 15 by operating from 8am to 4pm daily."
 
     Dr Yeung added that after service commencement in the initial stage, New Territories West Cluster will assess various factors including operation, service demand, patient safety and human resources of the new hospital in order to decide the commencement schedule of other services.
 
     TSWH is one of the public hospitals under New Territories West Cluster. The hospital is located at 11 Tin Tan Street, Tin Shui Wai, New Territories. For public enquiries, please call 3513 5000 during office hours.
