Wounding case in Kowloon City reclassified as homicide

     Police today (December 19) reclassified a wounding case in Kowloon City yesterday (December 18) as homicide.

     About 7.37pm yesterday, Police received a report that a 35-year-old man was assaulted by several men outside 452 Prince Edward Road West.

     Police officers sped to the scene and located the 35-year-old man who sustained injuries to his head. He was sent to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state where he was certified dead at 8.35am today.

     Police arrested a 35-year-old man in Kwai Chung and a 21-year-old man in Wong Tai Sin for wounding at small hours today. Post-mortem examinations will be conducted later to ascertain the cause of death.

     Active investigations by District Crime Squad of Kowloon City District are underway.
