Experienced choreographer-dancer Lai Tak-wai to stage "So Low" in January

     Experienced Hong Kong dancer and choreographer Lai Tak-wai will present his new dance work, entitled "So Low", in January next year.
 
     After graduating from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, Lai Tak-wai was awarded a scholarship under the Hong Kong Jockey Club Music and Dance Fund in 2002 and went to study further in the Paris Conservatoire of music and dance. Afterwards, Lai was appointed as a company dancer for the Junior Ballet Contemporain in Paris and Cloud Gate Dance Theatre in Taiwan. He then came back to Hong Kong in 2008 and has maintained an active career in dance since then. He joined the City Contemporary Dance Company and received the Outstanding Performance by a Male Dancer award for his performance in "In Search of the Grand View Garden" in the 2014 Hong Kong Dance Awards. He is currently an independent choreographer and freelance dancer. His choreography works include "Sleepless", "Substitute", "Timeline" in "It's My Turn" and "Overwhelming" in "Eureka".
 
     "So Low" is one of the programmes in the "Dance On" Series presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. It will be staged at 8pm on January 20 and 21 (Friday and Saturday) and 3pm on January 21 and 22 (Saturday and Sunday) at the Black Box Theatre of the Kwai Tsing Theatre.
