Appeal for information on abandoned baby girl (with photo)

     Police are anxious to locate the next-of-kin of a baby girl who was found abandoned in Sai Kung on December 5.

     About 2pm on December 5, Police received a report that a baby girl was found abandoned inside a barbecue site in Tso Wo Hang Village.

     The Chinese baby girl is about four to eight months old. She is about 71 centimetres tall and eight kilograms in weight. She has a round face with yellow complexion and short black hair.

     The baby girl, sustaining no apparent injuries, was admitted to Tseung Kwan O Hospital for observation.

     Investigations by the District Crime Squad of Wong Tai Sin District are underway.
