In addition, Invest Hong Kong has run a one-stop portal, the startmeup.hk, for local and overseas start-ups to share their success stories and useful resources, he added.

To encourage more technological start-ups, the Government has been providing financial support for research and development activities in universities and technology institutions, Mr So said, adding that the Government also facilitates the commercialisation of their technological achievements.

On the margins of the AMM, Mr So held bilateral meetings with the trade ministers of various member economies to foster mutual trade and economic relations.

In the evening, Mr So met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Chile, Mr Heraldo Muñoz Valenzuela, and signed an investment agreement with Chile.
