Hong Kong Museum of Art launches "Gone with the Wings" exhibition (with photos)
***************************************************************

The Hong Kong Museum of Art has launched an art educational exhibition entitled "Gone with the Wings", which is running from now until December 27 at the Thematic Exhibition Gallery of the Hong Kong Heritage Discovery Centre. Featuring a detective story, the exhibition invites visitors to enter a setting of the Museum of Art's back-room areas to investigate a case of a missing exhibit in the museum with clues left by the curator.

Local artist Wong Tin-yan was invited to make the missing exhibit of the story and percussionist Dr Lung Heung-wing was called on to improvise the sound of the missing exhibit by using everyday objects such as wicker items, chopsticks and Chinese checkers, hoping to remind visitors that even the most unnoticeable things can be beautiful and inspiring. A number of workshops are also available for members of the public to join.

The exhibition is presented by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and organised by the Hong Kong Museum of Art with the art group soundpocket as the Education Programmes Partner.
