***********************************************************
The Peak Police Station will be open to the public on November 27, December 3, 4, 10 and 11 to mark its 130th anniversary, allowing the public to have better understanding of history of the Peak Police Station. More than 120 members of the public from different social welfare organisations and schools including the elderly, students, new immigrants and the disabled were invited to visit the station today (November 11).

The event will feature display of police uniforms and equipment in different eras and videos showing the development of the Peak Police Station. Besides, there will be game booths and performances by the Police Dog Unit and Police Band.

The Peak Police Station will be open in four sessions on each open day, from 9am to 10.30am, 11am to 12.30pm, 2pm to 3.30pm and 4pm to 5.30pm respectively.

Admission is free by tickets. A total of 2,000 admission tickets will be issued starting from 9am tomorrow (November 12) outside the Report Room of Wan Chai Police Station and Central Police Service Centre, on a first-come, first-served basis. Each person is entitled to have a maximum of two tickets.

Since there is no parking facility at the Peak Police Station, visitors are advised to take the shuttle bus which will depart at 8am, 10am, 1pm and 3pm from Exit A of MTR Admiralty Station (outside Admiralty Centre) on the open days.

Peak Police Station was built in 1886 and classified as a Grade 3 Historic Building by the Antiquities Advisory Board. The Open Day aims to give an overview of the transformation of the Peak Police Station and its surrounding areas over the past 130 years and to engage the community.
