Community Thematic Carnival 2016 "Boundless Sai Kung" to be held at Sai Kung Waterfront Park

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department will hold the community thematic carnival 2016 "Boundless Sai Kung" this Sunday (October 23) from 2.30pm to 5.30pm at Sai Kung Waterfront Park. Admission is free.

     Carnival-goers can enjoy an entertaining programme including a jazz big band performance, a Chinese instrumental performance, belly dancing, street dance and band performance, magic and short plays on the history and cultural heritage of Sai Kung onstage. Hakka cultural performances such as Hakka unicorn dance, kung fu and Hakka folk singing with narration will also be featured. There will also be a guided tour on volcanos and geological landscapes and a display of interactive installation art.
 
     A variety of fun activities will include belly dance workshops, Hakka embroidered band knitting demonstration, kite making, fishnet cap making, shell etching, a "Fapopo" drawing workshop and steamed sticky rice dumpling making.
