Fatal fire in Ho Man Tin Estate

The fire broke out at a domestic unit, measures about 7 metres x 5 metres, on the 36th floor of Choi Man House at 5.40pm yesterday. Firemen used one jet and mobilised one breathing apparatus team to fight the blaze. The fire was largely put out at 6pm on the same day.
A man sustaining burns was rescued by firemen from the affected unit. He was conveyed to Kwong Wah Hospital and was certified dead at 6.31pm on the same day.
Concerning the cause of fire, initial investigations revealed that no suspicious circumstances were noted.
