Fatal traffic accident in Sheung Shui

About 6.53am, a public light bus (PLB) driven by a 55-year-old man was travelling along Fan Kam Road towards Pat Heung. When approaching outside North District Hospital, it reportedly knocked down the 53-year-old male cyclist who was crossing the road.
Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to North District Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 7.16am.
The PLB driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing death. He is being detained for enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories North is underway.
