Fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Kowloon City in the small hours of today (October 13) in which a 42-year-old man died.

     About 1am, a vehicle was travelling along Lion Rock Tunnel towards Kowloon. When reaching a flyover on Waterloo Road, it reportedly knocked down the 42-year-old male worker who was conducting a roadwork. After the impact, the vehicle left the scene. Upon initial investigation, the vehicle was believed to be a public light bus.

     Sustaining serious head injuries, the man was rushed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 3.02am.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
