First meetings of the Sixth LegCo and its two committees held today

The Sixth Legislative Council (LegCo) held its first meeting today (October 12) in the LegCo Complex. At the meeting, Members took the LegCo Oath one by one, followed by the election of the President. Mr Andrew Leung was elected the President of the Sixth LegCo.
Meanwhile, the LegCo House Committee and Finance Committee held their first meetings today in Conference Room 1 of the LegCo Complex respectively for the election of the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the two Committees. Ms Starry Lee and Mr Dennis Kwok were elected respectively the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the House Committee; Mr Chan Kin-por and Mr Michael Tien were elected respectively the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of the Finance Committee.
