******************************************************************************************
The following is issued on behalf of the Hong Kong Housing Authority:

The Hong Kong Housing Authority (HA) announced today (October 12) that Green Form (GF) applicants who intend to purchase flats in King Tai Court under the Green Form Subsidised Home Ownership Pilot Scheme (GSH) may submit applications between October 20 and November 2. Application forms, application guides and sales booklets of King Tai Court will be available at the HA Customer Service Centre (HACSC) in Lok Fu starting tomorrow (October 13).

Virtual show flat walkthrough videos and physical doll houses using the building information modelling technique, building models and exhibition panels providing information on King Tai Court will be displayed at HACSC from 8am to 7pm every day between tomorrow and November 2.

Located at the southern part of the ex-San Po Kong Flatted Factory site at Prince Edward Road East, King Tai Court will provide 857 flats, with saleable areas ranging from about 17.8 square metres to about 45.9 square metres. By applying a discount of 40 per cent from the assessed market values, the average selling price is $60,900 per square metre (or $5,658 per square feet) of saleable area. Selling prices of the flats range from about $940,000 to $2,980,000.

"King Tai Court is only for sale to GF applicants to help them achieve home ownership, while releasing more public rental housing (PRH) flats for allocation to those on the waiting list for PRH. PRH tenants allocated flats through the Express Flat Allocation Scheme are not eligible to apply within three years from the date of tenancy commencement of their PRH units. Owners of Tenants Purchase Scheme flats are also not eligible to apply," a spokesman for the HA said.

''Application forms and guides together with sales booklets will be available for public collection at the HACSC from October 13 to November 2,'' the spokesman said.

Apart from HACSC, the documents can also be obtained during office hours from the Estate Offices and District Tenancy Management Offices of the HA, Estate Offices of the Hong Kong Housing Society, the Home Affairs Enquiry Centres of the Home Affairs Department and the Sham Shui Po Housing Information Centre. Soft copies of the sales booklet will be uploaded to the designated website of the HA while the application form and the application guide will be available for viewing and downloading from HA/Housing Department’s website.

"The application period will run from October 20 until 7pm on November 2. Applications submitted before the application period or after the closing time will not be accepted," the spokesman said.

''Before the commencement of flat selection, hard copies of the sales brochures covering full details of the development and the price list will be made available for public collection at the HACSC. Soft copies of these documents will also be uploaded to the designated website. We will no longer mail the sales brochure and the price list to the applicants on top of these arrangements. Applicants are required to pay a one-off fee of $200 upon application,'' the spokesman said.

"Balloting is  expected to be held in December 2016. PRH tenants need not go through detailed vetting.  As for other GF applicants, the order of the detailed vetting of their eligibility will be determined by the result of the balloting. It is expected that successful applicants will be invited for flat selection starting from January 2017 according to their priority order," the spokesman said.

During the application period, interested parties may visit the HACSC from 8am to 7pm daily or call the HA's 24-hour Sales Hotline on 2712 8000 on application matters for purchase of GSH flats. They can also browse sales information and virtual show flat walkthrough videos at HA’s website designated for the sale of GSH (www.housingauthority.gov.hk/gsh/2016).
