Fatal traffic accident in Aberdeen

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Aberdeen last night (October 11) in which a 56-year-old man was killed.

     At about 11.20pm, a public light bus (PLB) driven by the 56-year-old man was travelling along Wong Chuk Hang Road towards Aberdeen Tunnel. When approaching 65 Wong Chuk Hang Road, it reportedly rammed to a special purpose vehicle and a private car, which were parked on the third left lane.

     The PLB driver was trapped inside the compartment and rescued by firemen. He was rushed to Queen Marry Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 0.17am. Two female passengers, aged 26 and 70, were also injured and sent to Queen Marry Hospital for medical treatment in conscious state.

     Investigations by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Hong Kong Island, are underway.
