Hong Kong Customs seizes suspected cocaine in Mong Kok (with photo)

      Hong Kong Customs today (October 7) seized about 920 grams of suspected cocaine in Mong Kok. The market value of the drugs is about $1.04 million.

      During an anti-narcotics operation, Customs officers intercepted a man in Mong Kok and found the suspected dangerous drugs in his possession.

     The man, aged 43 and claiming to be unemployed, was arrested for suspected trafficking in a dangerous drug. Investigation is ongoing.

      Under the Dangerous Drugs Ordinance, trafficking in a dangerous drug is a serious offence.  The maximum penalty is life imprisonment and a fine of $5 million.
