Tenders invited for Lift and Pedestrian Walkway System at Cheung Hang Estate in Tsing Yi

The works are scheduled to commence in January 2017 and will take about 30 months to complete. The works mainly comprise:
* Construction of a lift tower of about 31 metres in height with two lifts and a staircase at Tsing Yu Street;
* Construction of a covered elevated walkway with a clear width of about 3.3m and about 60m in length, connecting the above lift tower to the footpath along the southbound carriageway of Tsing Yi Road West;
* Construction of a lift tower of about 13m in height with a single lift at the eastern side of the existing footbridge (No. NF230) across Tsing Yi Road West;
* Widening of a section of footpath of about 30m in length to about 3.5m along the southbound carriageway of Tsing Yi Road West between the proposed elevated walkway and the existing footbridge (No. NF230) across Tsing Yi Road West; and
* Ancillary works, including associated road, drainage, public utilities, public lighting, landscaping, slope and geotechnical, electrical and mechanical works.
The Works Division of the HyD will supervise the construction works. Interested contractors can obtain the forms of tender and further particulars from the Works Division of the HyD at 7/F, Trade and Industry Tower, 3 Concorde Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong.
The invitation to tender was gazetted today. The submission of tenders will close at noon on November 11, 2016 (Friday).
