Police will implement special traffic arrangements in the vicinity of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai on September 30 (Friday) and October 1 (Saturday) to facilitate the rehearsal and holding of the National Day Flag Raising Ceremony.

A. Special traffic arrangements for rehearsal of the Flag Raising Ceremony

     The following special traffic arrangements will be implemented from 6am to 12.30pm on September 30:

- Eastbound Expo Drive will be intermittently closed; and
- The coach parking area at Expo Drive East will be suspended.

B. Special traffic arrangements for the National Day Flag Raising Ceremony

1. Road closure

     The following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic, except for vehicles with permit, from 5.30am to 11am on October 1:

- Expo Drive;
- Expo Drive Central;
- Expo Drive East;
- The unnamed road between Expo Drive and Expo Drive East; and
- Eastbound Convention Avenue between Fleming Road and Tonnochy Road.

2. Suspension of parking spaces

     The coach parking spaces at Expo Drive East will be suspended from 10pm on September 30 to 11am the following day.

     The pick-up and drop-off area at Expo Drive East will be suspended from midnight to 11am on October 1.

     Actual implementation of the traffic arrangements will be made depending on traffic and crowd conditions in the area. Motorists are advised to exercise tolerance and patience and take heed of instructions of the Police on site.
