Hongkong Post announces Love Post Day
*************************************
Hongkong Post announced today (September 26) that October 7 has been designated as Love Post Day in support of World Post Day which commemorates the establishment of the Universal Postal Union on October 9, 1874. This is the 13th year in a row that Hongkong Post has organised the event to bring a human touch to personal communication through letter-writing.

Hongkong Post invites everyone in Hong Kong to take part in Love Post Day on October 7 by sending a personal letter to a local recipient to share a message of love and care. Letters deposited in the special collection boxes at all post offices (including mobile post offices) on October 7 will be delivered on or before October 12, free of charge.

To promote public understanding of the work of Hongkong Post and mail operations, Hongkong Post will also organise visits to the Central Mail Centre for schools on Love Post Day.

More information about Love Post Day can be obtained at all post offices, the Hongkong Post website at www.hongkongpost.hk and the Hongkong Post hotline at 2921 2222.
