Correctional officers stop fighting among persons in custody

At 1.20pm, 11 male persons in custody were found engaging in a fight inside laundry workshop. Officers at the scene immediately stopped them and called for reinforcements.
During the incident, eight persons in custody sustained injuries and were treated at the centre hospital. Amongst them, three were subsequently sent to a public hospital for further examination.
The case has been reported to Police for investigation.
