CE congratulates Leung Yuk-wing on winning gold medal in Rio Paralympic Games

     The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, today (September 17) congratulated Hong Kong athlete Leung Yuk-wing on winning the second gold medal for Hong Kong in the Boccia mixed individual BC4 event in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. This is also the third time for Leung Yuk-wing to score medal in the same category of the Games.

     Mr Leung said, “With great perseverance and determination, Leung Yuk-wing brings more glory to Hong Kong. Hong Kong people are all proud of his remarkable achievement.”

     The Acting Secretary for Home Affairs, Ms Florence Hui, also extended congratulations to the delegation. She said we should praise and learn from the athletes’ tenacity and persistence towards greatness.

     The Hong Kong delegation has so far won six medals comprising two gold, two silver and two bronze in the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
