CE congratulates Hong Kong wheelchair fencing team on winning Rio Paralympic Games medal

     The Chief Executive, Mr C Y Leung, today (September 15) congratulated the Hong Kong wheelchair fencing team on winning another Rio 2016 Paralympic Games medal. Yu Chui-yee won a silver medal in the women’s individual foil (category A) event. It was her fourth consecutive win in the same category of the Games.
 
     Mr Leung said, "With her outstanding skills and perseverance, Yu Chui-yee displayed extraordinary performance in the competition. The Hong Kong people are all proud of her achievement.”
 
    The Acting Secretary for Home Affairs, Ms Florence Hui, also extended congratulations to Yu and praised her outstanding performance.
 
    The Hong Kong delegation has so far won four medals comprising one gold, one silver and two bronze at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
